Here are the instructions to a great airplane I taught myself to make.

You will need:
Paper 8.5x11
Scissors
Tape

Using a pencil and a ruler make it easier but are not necessary.

(This is my first Instructable post so please tell me how I did.)

Fold in Half.

Fold the paper in vertically (the long way).

Fold the Top Down.

Pic. 1. Fold the top layer of paper down 2 inches from one side.
Pic. 2. Repeat on other side.

Fold Part of Flaps Up.

Pic. 1. Fold part of the flap up so it is in line with the bottom.
Pic. 2. The result.
Pic. 3. Repeat on other side.
Pic. 4. Open. It should look like this.

Fold Little Flaps Down and Tape.

Starting from Pic. 1, fold the little flaps down to the main part(pics.2&3) and tape(pic.4).

Fold the Plane in Half Again and It Will Now Look Like This.

It should look like this when you refold it. Get ready to cut.

The Cutting Lines.

This next part is kinda hard to explain. You can free-hand cut it but I like to draw out the lines and then cut.
The little captions on Pic. 2 show how large each line is.

The Cutting.

Cut out the weird shape created and recycle it.

Fold Down the Wings.

Next we fold down the wings.
Pic.2. Repeat on other side.

Fold the Wings Up.

Sry this pic. is so fuzzy. My camera was acting up when I took this.
It should look like this( minus the fuzzy).

Add More Tape.

While you could probably fly the plane now, it works better when you tape it in a few places.
Place 1: (Pics.1&2) Tape under the main body of the plane. (there will be three flaps. just tape over the outside two)(it will also be a little loose, be sure to have it tight)

Add More Tape (cont.)

The plane will still work well without places 2 and 3 taped, but you might just want to put tape here. This is OPTIONAL!
Place 2: On the top of the plane it tends to separate. Put two pieces of tape where directed in Pic. 1.
Place 3: At the rear of the plane it put tape over the tiny wings and the part connecting them to the main body.( Pics. 2&3)

You Are Done!

You are done! Good job! The finished plane will look like Pic. 1.
One thing though. This plane is a great plane that flies straight. That means it tends to fall straight on its nose. The nose of the plane will get all beat up! (Pic. 2).  Just straighten it with your fingers and it will be all better.(Pic. 3).
