UPDATE: This makes a great punch for a party if you don't want to mix drinks all night. Start with 8 oz. of lemon juice and simple syrup, 16 oz. of gin and a full bottle of champagne to round it out.

Cocktail Ingredients for a French 75

Let's make sure you've got all the ingredients you need.
2 oz. gin
1/2 oz. simple syrup
1/2 oz. fresh lemon juice
4 oz. sparkling wine
2 oz. gin
1/2 oz. simple syrup
1/2 oz. fresh lemon juice
4 oz. sparkling wine
Preparation

In a mixing glass combine gin, simple syrup, and lemon juice. Add ice and shake vigorously. Strain into a cocktail glass and top with bubbly. Garnish with lemon peel.
