How to Make Football Cookies
My family loves gingerbread cookies! And the color of them is nearly the same color as a football… hmm… shall we combine the two ideas? Sure!
And lets do it without a football shaped cookie cutter, since I don't have one and I bet most people don't either. Want to see how? I'll show you.
You just need your favorite gingerbread cookie recipe, and some frosting.

Roll Out the Dough
Roll your dough out into a thin sheet.
Cut the Dough
Using a round cookie cutter (or a glass, if you don't even have one of those... or wasn't sure where yours was or if it was washed, which was my case) cut out some circles. Then take your cookie cutter and place it half over the circle. Press down and there you have it! Football shapped cookies.
You can take the scraps and re-roll them, or do moon shapped cookies if you're not in the mood for that.

Bake
Bake according to your recipe instructions and let cool.
Frost
Put the frosting in a piping bag or sandwitch bag, and cut a tiny hole in the tip. Make three small lines along the top of the cookie to make it look like a football.
Enjoy!
You now have super easy football cookies! I hope you enjoy!
