How to Instal Garden Pond
My wife and I fixed up our dying front garden and re-amped it into a beautiful rock garden with a new pond.
Location
We determined the best location for our pond around the center of the garden, as well we had to find were there was minimal roots. We dug up the plants, flowers etc. where our spot was and dug up roots.
Clearing & Digging
After we cleared our spot we measured our pond's width, length and depth and started the perimeter, digging down on a taper.
Fitting Pond in Hole
When hole is all dug we fit it in hole and filled in extra with dirt and rocks to make sturdy.
Fill With Water
When we finally had the pond in place we then added water. We had to do final bit of leveling so water was even around perimeter.
Final Touches
After pond was set we then added flat rocks around edges of our pond. It takes away from the factory edge look and gives it a more natural look.
Decor
We added garden stepping stones, sun dials and fish to our finished pond. We were happy with the results of our dying front garden and re-amped it into a nice yard!
