How to Give Your Furniture an Old Look

Here is what you will need:

→sandpapers- 60, 80 and 120 grit

→sanding block

→finish of your choice

→acrylic and wood paint

→rags

→protective goggles

→dust mask or respirator

→wear old clothes that you don’t mind getting dusty and maybe stained.

So once you have decided on a piece of furniture you want to refurbish you need to wipe the dust from it and then start sanding it.Try different directions when sanding and see which one looks good.Use the same direction of sanding for the rest of the furniture.

Once you have sanded the chairs you can apply the paint. For this project I used teal colour wood paint, white, golden and metal acrylic paints. First I applied the teal paint and once it dried I added the other paints.

I would suggest you to use mat top lack. Clean the surface with wet towel (make sure the paint has dried) and apply the finishing paint with a brush. Leave it to dry according to the description on the paint.

So in the end this is how my old furniture transformed into new for less than 60 euro!
