How to Fishtail Braid

Before beginning the procedure have a hair tie near by. 

Separate hair into two even sections using fingers/ fine point comb. 

TIP: it is easiest to part the hair directly down the middle, starting at forehead and proceeding down to bottom hair line. 

Pull a thin strand of hair from the outside of the left section. Pull it over the top of the left section, and grasp it under the right section. 

TIP: Try to use same thickness with every strand, and by pulling tighter helps you learn the method properly. 

Repeat step two, but pull a thin strand from the outside right section, pull across the right section to weave under left section.

Repeat steps 2 and 3 until you reach bottom of braid. 

Tie off the end of braid with near by hair tie.
