Radius and Diameter

ible8.jpg
Every circle has a radius and a diameter. The diameter is the distance from one edge to another, as long as the line passes through the middle of the circle. The radius is the distance from the middle of the circle to any point on the edge of the circle. The radius is half of the diameter. You will only need the radius for this Instructable.

Formula

A formula is an equation involving variables used to solve the size of something. The formula for area of a circle is a = PI r(squared)
WHAT!
a is the area
PI is approximately 3.14
r is the radius
Squared means a number times itself. usually expressed as a small 2 above the value.
