How to Create Your Own One-piece Paper Art
So in this instructable, I'll show you how to create an one piece paper cutting art. All you have to do is use a pre-design pattern. This is a simple but cool looking piece of art.
The pattern I use in this instructable is not my own. Patterns in this instructable is found here (papercraft canon). All I did was reposition the pieces.
Decide What You Want Make
You need to pick what model you want to do. What you want to do is pick a model you like, print out like 3-4 copies. The pattern only need to be black white, it doesn't need color. You need to print a few copies because you might need to redo the pattern again.
The pattern I use is a Norwegian Forest Cat by Ayumu Saito
I recommend you use X-acto knifes.
Reposition the Pieces
First, just cut every single piece of the model out
Then just arrange each piece. To connect each piece, glue them to a piece of paper, then trim the excesses with scissors.
Start Cutting
Now glue put the pattern you just make on the paper. Remember this: when you cut, spare a edge so that the piece can stick to the main paper. This edge is important because if you cut it, the model will fall apart.
The blue line in the first pic show the line I choose. When you cut, you can put a piece of black tape over that edge so you won't forget (pic 2)
Glue the Model
Now simply cut out the pieces and put together the papercraft like you normally do.
The Next Section
The next part is the yarn basket. The basket is just a simple box shape so it was straight forward. The yarn balls I took the pattern from this game. Just cut and glue like before (remember to leave an edge so that the basket doesn't fall of)
After I make the basket, I found that the basket was way too big, so I have to make another ball. I choose to cut on the cat part. So I have 3 yarn balls.
