How to Burrito Fold a Shirt
Hey guys this is my first instructable, and I'm going to show you how to burrito fold a shirt.
I had so many shirts in my drawer and I just didn't have enough space. I looked around on the internet and found the burrito fold.
This unique fold saved me so much space and is super helpful when packing for long vacations. The burrito fold turns a normal T-shirt into a small, burrito sized wrap.

Lay It Out
First thing you need to do is lay your shirt down on a flat surface with the neck hole closest to you (yes, I'm using a Hunger Games shirt ;)
Fold Up the Bottom
The next thing you want to do is fold up the bottom of your shirt. you want to make sure the fold goes all the way around the shirt.
for the size of the fold, my advice is this:
the bigger the shirt, the bigger you want your fold to be. I don't do any measurements, I just eyeball it and adjust as I go.

The First Side
Grab your shirt by the bottom left corner and the left shoulder (shoulder, not sleeve) and fold it over to the center of the shirt. Make sure the sleeve isnt sticking out anywhere. if you're folding a long-sleeved shirt, I would fold up the sleeve until it was about the same size lengthwise of a short sleeved shirt. You could do whatever works best for you. with long sleeved shirts, sometimes i pull the bottom of the sleeve down to the top of the fold of the opposite side and just fold over it. Make sense?
The Next Side
Now you're basically going to do the same with the other side. Grab the bottom right corner and the right shoulder and fold over the top of the first side. Once again, make sure the sleeve isn't sticking out anywhere.
Roll That Burrito!
Starting at the top of the shirt, start rolling towards the bottom. try to make it as right as possible. the tighter you roll, the smaller your burrito will be. Keep rolling right over the bottom fold until you reach the end of the shirt.
The Fold
This part is a little challenging to describe, but I'll do my best. When you rolled the shirt, you should have gone right over the fold. Hold the entire burrito in your hand (try not to let it unroll) and find the fold. Grab it and pull it around the burrito.
Before the fold
after the fold.
Before the fold
after the fold.
Enjoy Your Burrito!
I know this sounds a bit confusing, but it's really simple once you get the hang of it. I believe there is a YouTube video that may make more sense than this instructable.
The burrito fold leaves so much more space for packing, and it really helps when traveling places. The great thing about this fold, is that it won't unroll on it's own! I even bounced it aroud a lot to test it, and it never unrolled.
FYI: if the shirt is left in it's roll for a long time, it will get wrinkled.
Thanks for reading and I hope you found this helpful. =D
