How to Backup Your Mac Using Time Machine on OS X 10.10 Yosemite

We are performing this on the latest Mac OS X Yosemite version, however the process is pretty much the same across other version of Mac OS X.

Ensure you have a usb, firewire or thunderbolt external harddrive connected to your computer, and available for backup.
