How to Wind a Ball of Yarn!

How to make a ball of yarn!

Supplies

Skein of yarn

Step 1

First you’re going to want to find one of the ends of your skein of yarn. Personally I prefer to use the one in the center but either one works.

Next you need to wrap the yarn around your hand until it looks something like this. I wrapped it about 40 times here but it’s not a problem if it’s thicker/thinner. You could also use a pice of cardboard or a book if you don’t want to use your hand

Step 3

Start to wrap the yarn around the middle of the bundle. It should look sorta like a bow

Step 4

Next you’ll want to fold it in half and start wrapping the yarn around it going in all different directions. It’ll look messy at first but once you wrap it enough it’ll look more like a ball

Finished!

Now you just need to keep wrapping it until all the yarn is used up or it’s the size you want!
