How to Wax Your Snowboard

For those powder driven early morning first chairlift people, this one's for you!⛷️🏂

Power cord, base cleaner, paper towel, sturdy flat surface preferably! Scraper, sharpener, iron (can be a cheap one you got at Value village or spend more for a fancy one at a local skate and snowboard shop), a fine tipped brush to make your long locks flow in the wind and one for the board, wax p.s mine smells like chocolate now I'm hungry for chocolate. Also don't forget a cool playlist to listen to while waxing cause that helped!

Place your board somewhere strong and sturdy. Flat surfaces are the best but I did what I could and this worked just fine.

You can do this if you'd like but you don't have to. I took my scraper and tried shaving some wee pieces that were sticking up from possibly wood/rocks I ran over and it messed up my wax. Scrape any place that's sticking and not flush with the board.

Get a piece wet by a decent amount, enough so that you know and can see it shining on your board to get extra parts of the wax that slow you guys down on the snow.

You can do this if you'd like but this part you don't need to. Take snow/ski wax and work it into your board so it settles into the lines made in your board after the base cleaner is dry. Rub wax bar all over the board. Than take your iron and melt it by having wee drops all over the board and than let that cool down for a sec.

After dripping delicious chocolate wax (wishing it was real chocolate!) All over your board than running it over till it starts to melt and the drops will form into the other drops and you'll see it start to all come together. Let it set for a bit till it all hardens to a full waxed board.

Scrape your wax with a scraper. I love Volcom so I went with this beauty stone! Smell the deliciously man made chocolate wax. Than you can see wee chunks in the board. I don't have p-tex to melt and cover/seal up the nicks in the board itself. But you can order that online.

Get your hair brush out and comb the crap out that board. Go with the flow bro, and really get in there, cause the wee bits are still in the grooves. Look at the excess! Also grab your edge filer, kinda like a weird looking nail filer. You can also get some paper towel and wipe even again the rest of the wee bits outta the board if you're like me?!

So next I got my trusty Dakine filer. Two different positions it can do 90° angle. File your nails and you board, your lady will thank you later! Nice now you don't have long nails and a sharper edge! Move back and forth switching the positions (remember only two positions to file down) along the whole length of the board!
