How to Use the Force on a Straw to Trick Little Kids

So what is The Force?

I'm not a big Star War fan or anything, but I do know stuff. In Star Wars, the force is what gives a Jedi his/her power.

In the real world, "The Force" is known as telekinesis, and it grants the users ability to control things with their mind. It's believed human used this once, but as life got easier (cars, technology, space), we were too lazy to use them.

For this Instructable, you will learn how to have The Force(kind of) and be a Jedi in training!

WARNINGS: I AM NOT RESPONSIBLE IF KIDS ANNOY YOU OR THEY GET SCARED BECAUSE YOU WANTED TO GO ON HERE. DO THIS AT YOUR OWN RISK.

Get an Unwrapped Straw Then Rip the Wrapper a Little at One End of the Straw

I got these straws from McDonalds when ordered the food, however, you can by these online, or at Sam's. Also try to be careful not to get the wrapped more ripped then it should be, and DO NOT GET SPIT ON THE WRAPPER, I'll tell you why later.

Bite the Straws, WITH YOUR TEETH

Make sure your teeth are dry, because like I said you don't want spit on the wrapper. Make sure your lips are open too.

Slide the Wrapper Back and Forth

Do it steady, you don't want to get wrapper rip. Do not make the wrapper wrinkled either.

After Sliding It Back and Forth for Around 20 Seconds, PULL THE WRAPPER OUT FAST!

But don't make wrapper wrinkled, after pulling it out, set it aside somewhere else.

Get a Bottle Empty or Filled. the Bigger the Cap Is, the Better. DO IT FAST

If you want to impress people at a party, this is the perfect place to test a straw and water bottle.

Now Put the Straw on the Cap After You Got Your Bottle.

Do it carefully, do not make the straw fall on the floor unless you want to repeat everything over. My suggestion is that just grab the straw and put it on the cap FAST without hesitation.

The Fun Begins

Now control the straw. Where ever you put you're finger at one end of the straw it will follow you. DO NOT PUT YOUR FINGERS OUT THE WAY BECAUSE YOU WILL LOSE THE FORCE. Just control until you run out of power. If the straw falls down or you run out of power, scroll to the next slide.

If You Want to Do This Again Repeat All the Steps

It's the reason why you put the wrapper somewhere else, even if you don't want to do this, put both pieces in a cabinet for future uses.

For Tricking Smaller Kids, Just Blow on the Straw With Out Opening Your Lips Wide and Move Finger Where Ever the Straw Is Going.

This create the illusion that you're actually controlling it. This should only be used if the kids are 4-6.

So If This Is Not the Force, Then What Is It....?

What is it then? Guess first, be specific (don't just say Magic or Witchcraft).

IF YOU GUESS STATIC ELECTRICITY, YOU'RE RIGHT!!!

By rubbing the wrapper with straw, this creates static electricity, it's like magnets.

Questions You Might Ask

Can I just get a blanket and rub the straws?
Answer:Yes, but you'll probably look weird with a blanket at a party

Can I use my shirt?
Answer: Yes you can, but only if your shirt is cotton, mine was 60% cotton and it worked well, you can use a sweater, as wool works just fine

Why do I lose static electricity after dropping it?
Answer: I might this wrong, but in 5th grade I learned that when ever there is static, it also tries to go on something else, so is you drop it then then static got on the floor.
