Yep
It might be just me with this problem, but when I start to clean my room, I get discouraged and under motivated, so I decided to help anybody searching for a fool-proof way to deep clean a room.
Supplies
Time
Dusting Spray
Windex
Vacuum Cleaner
Paper Towels
Storage Bins (optional)
Air Freshener
Cleaning the Bathroom/Vanity
You should start by removing everything from the cabinets, drawers, and countertops. Make sure you sort through your items and throw away or repurpose anything you don't need. Use the paper towels and dusting spray to clean and disinfect your vanity. Use the Windex on the mirror. Organize your items back in or on your vanity. Freshen it up with some room spray.
Cleaning Your Closet
Remove every single article of clothing that is hanging or folded. Try it all on and make sure it fits. Donate what doesn't. Take out all other items like storage or books. Start making piles of your sorted items. Dust the empty closeted refold/hang the clothes. Keep all other items out of the closet.
Cleaning Your Bookshelf
You should know the drill by now. Remove all the items from in or on top of the bookshelf. Sort through them by placing the items in their designated piles. Dust thoroughly. Leave the items off the empty bookshelf.
Cleaning Other Miscellaneous
Get all items from the floor and sort them into their piles. Pretty easy step.
Cleaning the Desk
Remove all items under or on the desk. Sort them and dust the desk.
Cleaning the Bed
Remove anything under the bed and sort. Strip the bed of its sheets.
Prepping for Final Clean
Throw away everything in the trash pile. Put all the other piles on top of the bed in an organized fashion. Pick up any rugs.
Vacuuming
Vacuum the entire room thoroughly. Empty the vacuum cleaner when you finish.
Organizing
Sort the piles into their spots in an organized fashion. Books on the bookshelf, storage under the bed, papers on the desk, etc. Remember to wash and replace the sheets.
Finishing
Give the room one last spritz of air freshener, and marvel at your work. Remember to have a treat afterwards as a reward.
