How to Take a Stroke in Field Hockey
Do you want to learn how to get a basically free goal in field hockey? Or maybe how to help your team if they go into strokes after overtime? Do these 10 easy steps to become the best stroker ever!
Collect your supplies:
- field hockey stick
- field hockey goal
- field hockey ball
Set up the ball on the stroke line which is about 10 feet from the goal.
Decide where you want the ball to go into the goal.
Get in the mindset to take your stroke. You want to be focused on getting the ball into the goal.
Look in all four corners of the goal and then right in the center. (There is usually a goalie and this helps with deception and scaring the goalie.)
Place both hands on your stick and bend your legs.
Keep your stick on the ball and push the ball forward.
Follow through where you want the ball to go.
Watch the ball into the goal and make sure it went into the right place.
Celebrate your amazing goal!!
