So do you need a better camera ? or Fancy equipment Thousand dollar tripod and large format camera. Enough lights or big focus points ?
Well, the answer is a BIG NO because the only thing you need is patience and some basic knowledge about taking pictures that's all !
“Your first 10,000 photographs are your worst.” always remember this and never give up on your dreams !
SO LET'S START !!!
What You Need
- A Camera, any camera would work I would prefer Nikon.
- If you are using a point or shoot I would recommend macro mode.
- Stability is an essential part required while taking pictures so you can use a tripod and if you have steady hands then tripod is not required.
- Understanding the background is very important while taking photographs of flowers because you need sufficient light to pass.
- Most important of all Passion and just feel the beauty of nature and enjoy the moments.
Patience and Contrast
- You don't have to rush just be cool check whether the contrast is well or not , sometimes maybe the timings are not just right.. give some focus points to your pictures.
- Try taking shots from every different angle.
- Macro lens or telephoto with close focus capabilities they will give close focus to isolate the background.
- The faster they are the better they are.
Merge With the Background
- When talking about merging its mainly focuses on two aspects lighting and giving shadow effect to you pictures.
- Lighting is all important in controlling the image. lighting desired to give an accurate rendition of the scene.
- Just take help from your surroundings use sunlight to give the contrast to your images or make some cover to give the dark shadow tone to your images, dramatically altering the overall feel and depth of your photograph.
Start With Portrait Photographs
- When there is an overcast condition its a great time for shooting the best photos of flowers.
-
Shooting in overcast conditions is also desirable over midday sun. Overcast skies diffuse the light making the shadows very soft. This allow to bring out details from the shadow areas. Look for flowers that may be in a garden shaded by a house, or carry a piece of cardboard, or have someone stand between the sun and your object.
-
When you do this it will build your confidence level and you will be able to move further to next levels. its easier to take portraits rather than looking for good shot spots.
Shoot As Many As You Can....
-
Take a page from the pros and shoot a lot of frames. Capture as many angles and settings as possible. Your chances of getting a truly fantastic photo increase dramatically.
-
Try to add life in your photos it gives a great contrast to your images.
So with this we come to an end of this instrutables but its a start for you guys and just enjoy the moments and feel the power of nature I hope you enjoyed.
Happy capturing :)
