Your legs need to be spread shoulder length apart, with your knees slightly bent, your shoulders should be lined up with your legs, and your eyes in front of you so you can see the ball coming once it is pitched.

Step 2: Decision

Once the pitcher does their wind up to pitch the ball you will have approximately 0.25 milliseconds to decide if you're going to hit the ball or not, and recognize what type of pitch they are throwing, so you can try to predict where it is going to go.

Step 3: Start Your Swing

Once you decide you're going to hit the ball, you need to start your swing. You will need to shift your weight to your front foot, drive your elbows towards to pitcher, rotate your hips, and and follow through with the bat, while never taking your eye off the ball.

Step 4: Eyes

Keep your eyes on the ball at all times once it enters the pitchers hand. As you start your swing, watch the ball make contact with the bat, to ensure you're going to hit it, to make sure you're not like the picture shown.

Step 5: Arms

As you drive your elbows towards the ball let your hands be your guide, wherever you hands go is where your bat is going to go. As you're moving your hands forward, make sure to snap your wrist to make sure you get the most power possible.

Step 6: Hips

As you are rotating your hips, in order to hit the ball remember that your hips and thighs are your largest source of power and the more you use them the further the ball is going to go.

Step 7: Hit the Ball

Watch the ball all the way until it makes contact with your bat, and follow through with your bat.

Step 8: Run

As you hit the ball watch where the ball goes so you know how much time you have to run, and try as best as you can to predict where they are going to throw the ball, and run as fast as you can.
