How to Size an Aura Ring, or Any Other Piece of Jewellery, With a 3D-printer

In this tutorial I'm going to show how I've used a Bambulabs 3D-Printer to print inexpensive sizing guides for US-size jewellery.

• STL-File
• 3D printer
• Slicer Software
• Filament

Download the STL-Files from the library attached, that you believe would correspond to your size in ring.

Then, import the file to your slicer software. I'm using Bambulabs, which is based on Prusa.

For settings I used:

• No support
• 20% infill
• Fine Layer height

I found ASA to be excellent, as the smooth finish makes the sizers glide on like metal would.

However, PLA is also perfectly fine.

The next step is to send the print job to the printer, the print itself takes roughly 20 minutes per ring with the settings I've chosen.

Now that you have preliminary sizing guides, you may wish to print new guides at whatever size you've landed on.
