How to Ship an FRC Shirt

We're gonna ship an FRC shirt. Short and sweet. No monkey business.

All you need to do this is tape and a bubble mailer. You want a size #0 mailer. I buy the kraft up&up (target brand) mailers for like $.50/ea. you can find #0s at basically any office supply store though. They have an interior dimension of 6"x9".

If you're shipping multiple shirts or a hoodie, you'll want a size #2 or size #4.

Lay that thing on a table.

You'll want to turn the side that has more screenprinting on it facing you. This is because it may stick out of the folded shirt and create friction when trying to squeeze it into the bubble mailer. This isn't hugely important though, so don't fret if both sides have similar amounts.

You're roughly folding this thing into thirds. The furthest corner of the first sleeve should be almost to the edge of the other side of the shirt.

See step 3. Just fold that thing over.

Now we're gonna fold it into thirds. Take the bottom third and pull it up to about the middle.

Finish your tri-fold. You should have a nice square-ish shirt in front of you now! This is also a slightly more compact way to fold shirts anyway, so congrats: you've just learned a new life skill.

Fold it in half parallel to the neck (bottom-top instead of side-side). Again, you want to fold it so the screenprinting is on the inside.

It's kind of a tight squeeze, but it's a t-shirt so don't stress too much about it. Most of it should slide in pretty easily, then the last little bit you can jam in with your fingers.

NOTE: once you use the self-adhesive on the envelope, add a strip of packing tape over the top, wrapping around to the front of the envelope! I don't fully trust the self-adhesive, since we're sort of abusing the limits of the envelope.

Paypal.com/shipnow is an incredible place that means that you won't need to go to the post office and wait in line! You will need to create a paypal account with some sort of funding in it though (either connected to a bank account or card).

Once you arrive at the site, you'll be prompted to log in. Go ahead and do that.

This step is pretty self-explanatory. Don't worry about the email field. It's just to email you a tracking link, which you can get from the confirmation page anyway.

Ship first class parcel. It's the cheapest. Like less than $5. Trust me. Also it supports the United States Postal Service (USPS) and the USPS is awesome.

Set your package type to "package/thick envelope".

First class parcel breaks down weight in 4oz increments, meaning a 6oz package costs the same as an 8oz package. Most packages are going to be in the 5-7oz range. Enter 8oz and you'll be covered.

Congrats, you're done!

Print the label, cut along the border of the label itself, and affix it to your bubble mailer with 3 vertical strips of packing tape.

Save the tracking number from the label too (and send it to the person you're sending the shirt to). You can always find the tracking number again both in the confirmation email that PayPal will send you, as well as in your PayPal history.
