How to Set a Dining Room Table
Here is instructions on how to set a dining room table.
Supplies
You will need a placemat, dinner plate, salad/dessert plate, bowl, silverware, napkin, and a drinking glass.
First Place a Placemat on the Table.
The placemats will help if the eater spills anything on the table it will end up on the placemat instead. It is so nice to have a placemat because it helps you to not clean as much of the table.
Then Place Dinner Plate on the Placemat
As you have laid down a placemat, add a dinner plate on top of the mat.
Now Add a Salad/ Dessert Plate on Top of the Dinner Plate
Additionally, then place a little salad plate on top of each of the dinner plates in case there is salad or other desserts to put on that plate. If want a salad plate just in case whoever is serving dinner may serve salad, so they place it on the bigger plate.
Now Place the Soup Bowl on Top of the Salad/dessert Plate.
Also, if there is soup or anything liquid to go with your meal place out a soup bowl on top of your little salad plate. Place the bowel on top of the salad plate because it is smaller and just in case whoever is serving soup you will have a bowl for it already at the table.
Place a Napkin to the Left of the Plate Along With the Fork
The napkin is for those who will want to wipe their mouths or fingers off.
Finally, Place Your Knife to the Right of the Plate With the Sharp Edge Facing the Plate and Put a Drinking Glass Over It.
Placing the knife towards the plate will make it so no one will end up getting cut.
