  1. Using Ethernet Cable: For a stable connection, use another Ethernet cable to connect your computer to one of the LAN ports on the router.
  2. Using Wi-Fi: Alternatively, you can connect via Wi-Fi. Look for the default network name (SSID) and password on the router’s label often located at the back of the router.

Access the Router’s Admin Panel

  1. Open a Web Browser: On your connected device, open any web browser.
  2. Enter the Router IP Address: Type the router’s IP address into the address bar (usually something like 192.168.1.1 or 192.168.0.1) and press Enter.
  3. Log In: Enter the default username and password (often "admin" for both) found in the router's manual or on its label.

Configure Your Wi-Fi Settings

  1. Change the SSID: Look for the Wi-Fi settings section and change the default network name (SSID) to something unique.
  2. Set a Strong Password: Choose a secure password (at least 8 characters, mixing letters, numbers, and symbols) for your Wi-Fi network.
  3. Select Wi-Fi Security: Ensure that WPA2 or WPA3 is selected for security.

Save Settings and Restart

  1. Save Changes: Click the “Save” or “Apply” button to confirm your settings.
  2. Restart the Router: Some routers may require a restart to apply changes. Follow prompts if necessary.

Connect Devices

  1. Connect to Your Network: On your devices (smartphones, tablets, laptops), search for the new SSID and enter the password to connect.
  2. Test the Connection: Open a web browser on your device to check that you have internet access.
