This guide explains how to use different features within the Samsung TV remote, like navigating to streaming services such as Netflix.

To be noted: depending on the model and which TV is used, the steps may vary a little, such as if profile selection if the picture is accurate or not.

1. Press Power Button

As pictured above, this is a circular red button, at the top left of the controller with a white symbol in the shape of an open circle and a vertical line.

Press it and hold it while pointing the remote towards the center of the TV. This will result the TV to go from black to show the Verizon logo.

As pictured above, the Netflix button is a white rectangular button with the word “Netflix” spelled in all-caps in red, located in the center of the remote. For added assistance on where to find it on the remote, look back at the photo under the section “Photo of Remote.”

Pressing this button for one second will take you to Netflix. This will show you square profiles for who is watching in Netflix.

After pressing the Netflix button, the TV screen should look similar to the above image of profile. Please note that your screen may have the profiles listed vertically instead of horizontal.

1. Note: You need to choose the same profile you have started movies and TV shows on in the past, in order to continue your progress from where you left off.

1. Press the left and right arrows until the profile you want to select on the screen has a thin border of white around it. (If the profiles are stacked vertically, use the up and down arrows.) This is shown in the second image.
2. Press the Enter button to select that profile, located in the center of the four arrows. This is a black button with a white rectangle and an arrow leading inward into the center of the rectangle, as shown in the third image.

1. Press Left arrow or Return button to get to the left ribbon.
2. Press Down arrow multiple times until you get to the option that says “Exit Netflix.”
3. Press “Exit Netflix” with the Enter button.

“I can’t log into Netflix!”

1. Click on the following link for their Tech Support website: https://help.netflix.com/en/node/470

“If I stay on the Profile Selection screen for too long without touching it, the profiles go away and the screen just shows different shows.”

1. Press the Return button to show the Profile Selection screen again.

1. Use the left arrow to search for shows and movies in the search bar.
2. Volume buttons and mute can be used to change the volume of media playing.
