How to Replace a Switch on a Scooter (ACTIVA 2G/3G/4G/latest Model)
There's no need to take your scooter to the service center to replace a switch and spend money on labor charges when you can do it yourself at your house with just one screwdriver and the switch you want to replace.
Just follow these 5 easy steps.
Supplies
- Flat tip screwdriver.
- Switch (the one you want to replace)
Purchase
Purchase the switch you want to replace in your scooter.
The one I'm using here is manufactured by UNO Minda.
It only costs 60/-(Indian currency).
Note: Check the switch for any defects or broken pins.
Remove Old Broken Switch
Remove old broken switch using the Flat tip screwdriver.
The screwdriver should be inserted gently between the gap of the switch and dashboard.
Now, pull the switch out of its socket gently.
Three-pin Connector
Now, remove the switch from the three-pin connector by pulling out the orange lock marked in the image given above.
Clean the Three-pin Connector
Remove the dust from the connector pins.
Use a brush for that purpose.
Insert the New Switch
Insert the new switch back to the three-pin connector properly and check if the two orange locks are locked to the switch correctly.
Then insert it back inside the dashboard and press it from all sides to lock it to the dashboard.
# Hope this worked for you.
