Repaired a gun holster for a friend that had been chewed on by his puppy. This is a short 5 min job. To replace the clip you will need:

Scissors (2 pair, 1 small and 1 larger preferred)
Sewing Machine
Thread
Pair of Pliers
New Plastic Clip ($2.50 at Wal-mart)
Metal Snap with Denim Punch ($2)

Clip the Male Strap

Take your larger pair of scissors and cut off the end of the strap.

Unthread your chewed up male strap and replace with it with your new clip.

Sew the Strap End

Fold the end of the strap down and sew it across in a straight line. Nylon separates easily so any basic sewing machine will work.

Unsnap the Metal Snap

Unsnap the metal snap to take it apart. You will need the half of the snap which holds the female end of the strap in place.

You can do this with a pair of metal pliers.

Sew on the Second Clip

Take apart a few stitches to pull apart the nylon strap.

Put on the new clip and fold the two pieces back together.

Sew a few stitches on a sewing machine to put back together. Normally I pull the back away from the sewing machine to expose the second strap as this is tighter to get to.

Put on the New Snap

Rethread the new metal snap half and hammer or use a punch to put it together.

Voila, all done.

Ready for a zombie attack or the next big paintball fight.
