How to Repair Your Loom Knitting Projects.
I learned how to loom knit 8 months ago, and have made a few mistakes along the way. I spent time in the beginning ripping my whole projects out until one day a few months ago my daughter came to me for help.
This was my daughters “Cowl” and ¾ of the way through it her cowl started fraying really bad. So, mom to the rescue. It took me a couple of days just staring at it before my brain would finally have the “Oh crap, the light bulb came on” moment. This is how I finally stopped ruining my knitting projects and learned how to repair instead of ripping it all out.
I hope this short tutorial will be useful to you.

How to Repair Your Loom Knitting Project!
1. Carefully remove your loops from the loom. If the mistake is a few rows back then pull the yarn out until you get back to the mistake and correct it.
2. Now, you are going to thread your loom needle with a contrasting color yarn that will show up against your project. The next thing you are going to do is weave your contrasting yarn through your loom hoops. You want to make sure it will show up on your project yarn. Like what you see here. I used the white because it was perfect against the deep purple and I could see what I was doing.
3. So you’re going to weave it through every loop on your project.
Note: You can do this if you just want to save the project for later so you can use the loom.
4. Once you have taken it back down to the mistake and fixed it, you are going to start putting each loop back on. Leave the contrasting yarn there until you are completely sure it is all on the loops.
5. Here I am carefully getting it back on the loom. This was my daughters “Cowl” and ¾ of the way through it started fraying really bad. So, mom to the rescue. It took me a couple of days just staring at it before my brain would finally have the “Oh crap, the light bulb came on” moment.
6. Just some close up shots of me putting the loops back on.
Once you have checked and double checked that all the loops are back on the loom, then go ahead and pull the contrasting yarn through and out. Then cast on as normal and finish your project.

My gorgeous daughter wearing her cowl, after she finished doing the rest of the looming. I don't know where all the time went. First I gave birth, and now she is going to turn 40 years old in December. Yes, this a recent photo, took it 2 weeks ago lol. I hope this was helpful for all of you. If you have any questions feel free to contact me through my website or send me an email.
Happy Looming,
