Remove the Door Panel
Remove door panel. This requires that you remove a few smaller panels and some screws and pulling the panel up and off.
Remove Two 11mm Nuts That Connect Regulator to the Window
Remove two 11mm nuts that connect regulator to the window. This is most easily done with the window down a couple of inches. If your window is stuck all the way up or down you will have to reach into the door and feel for the nuts to remove them.
Separate Window Regulator From the Window
Once the nuts are removed, reach in to the middle of the window and push up on it some while pulling the window regulator track away from the window. Then lift up on the window and secure it to the door frame with tape. The window regulator is now separated from the window.
Move Wiring Harness Out of Way
Next, you may want to move the wiring harness for the window and lock controls out of your way by pulling the uppermost clip out of the door.
Separate Window Regulator From the Door
Remove two 11mm bolts that hold the regulator to the door. Using a hammer and punch knock the center pin out of the six rivets on the ride side of the door. Now with a 3/8 inch drill bit, drill out the rivets being careful not to drill into the door. Once you have drilled a certain amount you should be able to easily pry them out with a flat blade screwdriver.
Remove the Window Regulator
Remove the window regulator by collapsing it down and bringing it out through the larger hole on the left side of the door.
That is how to remove a power window regulator on 1997-2003 Ford Expedition, Ford F-150, and Lincoln Navigator models.
