How to Remove Carpet Staples

How to remove Carpet Pad staples, after removing carpet and pulling up padding. Leftover padding stays behind where the staples are.

I have also included a video from my Youtube channel, for the people that rather see a video.

Tools required:

5 in one Tool

Hammer

pliers

Place the 5 in 1 Tool at the edge of staple, at a slight angle and Hammer the end. ( check out pictures above)

This should remove the staple with the padding. Just remember to hold the 5 in 1 tool tight against the staple when hammering.

Note if the staple breaks, then use the pliers to pull out remaining part of the staple
