Save the images provided or find your own. Open Document and select Place Embedded under File. Select each picture at a time and position it in the same way as done in the first picture or however you want. Typically most people work back to front, so place the images that you want in the back first. However, this isn't completly necessary because we will ajust the layer order later anyway.

Step 2: Lasso and Mask It

One image at a time, use the lasso tool and outline only the person, ignoring the background of the images. You can also use the magnetic lasso too depending on how contrasted your character is to the background. Then select "Add Vector Mask" at the bottom of the layers tab. This is to isolate the images easily without altering the background. Don't worry about making the lasso perfect, because we can always clean up the lines and bumps later.

Step 3: Background Image & Layer Arrangement

Select image for your background and insert it. Then grab Arrange the layers by going to the layers tab and dragging your background layer to be the first one. The background should be the first layer so that the other images are easily seen. Make sure you have the correct layer order that you want. Scale each character correctly so it balences the image.

Step 4: Clean Up Lines & Edges and Minor Opacity Change

Use the blur, smudge, and eraser tool to clean up you image. Go over each outer edge and smooth it over until it looks cleaner. To help some characters look more ghosty and distanced, lower the opacity for the farther back layers. This will also help bring attention to the main text later on.

Step 5: Add Text and Background Paint

Now all that is left it to add the main text, and add a little bit up spice to the background to make it look more rugged. First you going to want to choose the text tool, then write your desired text. The next part is to scale the words up and pick your font. You want to pick a font that closesly resembles the orginal poster's font, or you can just pick one that matches yours well. After that, You can ajust the effects of the words such as the bevels or outer glow. Fianally, insert your paint splatter and put it right above the background in layer order. Then, lower the opacity so it blends in better.

Step 6: Color Hue and Photo Filter

Just one more step! For this step all you have to do is go to the brightness/contrast slider and adjust it to your liking. Make sure not to overdue the brightness or contrast, because your image may turn out super dark or weird looking. Next, go to photo filter, and adjust the slider so that it makes your picture look worn out and old like the show. This step differs based on what type of tone you are going for on your poster, but because Peaky Blinders is set in the 1910s I wanted to give it a photographic feel.
