How to Rebuild Injectors
In this instructable, I will teach you how to remove, rebuild and reinstall injectors.
Removal
To rebuild Injectors, you must first remove them from the vehicle. This will reuire a 10mm socket, a 19 mm wrench and a 24mm socket and an impact or ratchet. Remove the intake, injector lines and hold down nuts. After this, pop out the injectors and move on to the next step.
Injector Tear Down
The next step is tearing down the injector. to do this, clamp the injector body in a vice. next take a 13 or 15 mm wrench(depending on injector style) and loosen one half of the body. Remove the nozzle, and all internal parts. Move to next step.
Reassemble Injectors.
When reassembling, install all new internals, and tighten the injector body. Have a shop pop-test the injectors, or buy your own and do it yourself. Once the injectors are set to where they need to be, you can begin reinstalling.
Reinstall the Injectors in Pickup
To reinstall injectors in the pickup, reverse step one. Tighten hold down nuts to 45-50 lb. ft of torque. Bleed injector lines, and enjoy!
