How to Reach 400k in Osu! Within 72 Hours

osu!standard, usually referred to as just "osu!", is the most common game mode and involves clicking circles, holding sliders, and rotating spinners. 0, 50, 100, and 300 points are respectively assigned for each hit (excluding spinners) based on how accurate the hit is.

For each play you are assigned, performance points (PP), which will increase or decrease your global ranking,the more PP, the higher in global ranking you get.

In this guide, I will try to explain the method to reach top 400,000 ranks. The Picture above is currently displaying my rank, while not high, something im proud of.

In osu! the most rated plays are aim based plays which require you flicking from one side to another quickly. To improve this I would recommend just playing around with a mod, called relax. Relax allows you to be able to build muscle memory, to your movement, without the need to click on circles on time, as the A.I. does it automatically for you.

However while aiming is most rated, the most best way to gain PP is to be consistent, and have no misses, and have big combos. The less mistakes the more PP you will gain. Yes you can complete a 5 star difficulty map, however if you complete a 3 star map and full clear it (FC, no misses) the 3 star play would be a lot more heavily rated than the 5 star difficult. Meaning if you want to climb, play maps you can be consistent at.

Streams are very hard to do at the beginning, so I would recommend going against trying it, as beginners usually dont have the fingers necessary to tap fast enough, for high BPM's.

( In osu!, you can use the mouse left click as the default click, or bind keys on the keyboard such as q and w to simulate clicks, usually everyone will find out after 1 hour or so, that using keyboard to simulate clicks is much faster. )

For streams it is necessary to learn alternate tapping which is very hard, it took me some time. For this there is no real method other than just playing and playing.

Accuracy

Accuracy is something you have to train, while playing, if you have low accuracy as start it wont bother you as much, however it will hurt you in the long run, as you will fail more quickly and low accuracy also gives you lower PP. Something I used to train my accuracy is the auto mod, which plays the map for you without clicking, and I tried to time my clicks with automod, however some people would recommend against that, and just recommend playing, as you accuracy improves if you are aware of it.

Just enjoy the game and play, if you play for 72 hours I can gurantee you can reach top 400k, you just need to play the right maps, although not something I would recommend if you do reach the 71 hour mark and are not top 400k here are some maps that might help you.

These would easily give you over 300 pp, and would put you in the top 400k.
