How to Properly Season a Black Stone

The instructions below will tell you how to properly clean and season a black stone griddle
Supplies
Griddle Scrapper
Water
Extra Virgin Olive Oil
Paper Towels
What You Need to Know

- DO NOT USE SOAP ( It can strip away the protective seasoning layer and will make a soapy residue that will clash with food.)
- DO NOT USE ABRASIVE SRUBBERS/STEEL WOOL
Cleaning the Blackstone
- After cooking keep the Blackstone on medium to high heat
- Scape food residue off
- Add water and start scraping the black stone until all food residue is gone
How to Season Your Black Stone

- Turn the black stone off and let it cool
- Get your oil and spread the oil around with a paper towel making a thin layer and getting every inch of the black stone
- Once completely cooled down you are ready to cover the black stone and use for next time
Maintaining
- KEEP COVERED WHEN NOT IN USE
- If you haven't used your black stone in a few months you will need to uncover and scrap the debris off and rust if any,
- You will have to re-season your black stone
