How to Project
Hi, my name is Justin. Have you ever had a dirty car and want it to look nice again? You may have damaged paint that you could avoid by doing these steps. You may have bought a car that had paint swirls and or you might have caused it too. I am going to show you how to properly wash your car the right way. I will give you all of the right steps to wash your car so that you don’t hurt your paint. After this you will have knowledge on what to do and what not to. At the end you will know what to do and you can show other people on how to do it too.
Supplies
Before you even start to wash your car, you will have to go and get the right supplies. What I do is order product online from chemical guys, Adam polishes, and Meguiars. These products are going to be the easiest to get but not the best. They will do the job very well. You can get any cleaner that you want but you will need to have car shampoo. You will also need a wash mitt that is microfiber, two five-gallon pales, and a drying towel. These are the essentials, but you can get more things that interest you.
Pre Wash
After you have all of your supplies, you will need some sort of pressure washer either if its you own or at a local self-serve car wash. First have your car in an open space so that you can get on each side of the car. When you are comfortable where it is at, then you can begin to pre-wash your car. Always start from the top of the vehicle and spray down. They go to another panel, and start top to bottom. Repeat that for every panel of the car.
Washing Your Car
Now that the car is pre-washed, you can begin to actually wash your car. This is the most important step of washing your car. First you have to get the foam cannon ready for use. Fill the cannon with ¾ full of water and about 1 ounce of car shampoo. Shake up the bottle and attach it to the pressure washer. Spray on the foam onto the car. Take the wash mitt and dunk it in the first bucket and start at the top of the car. Once you have one panel done rinse out the mitt in the first bucket and then the second bucket to get it clean again. Do these steps for each panel of the car. Make sure that you are doing straight passes with the wash mitt and never so circular motions.
Getting a Clean Car
After you have washed every panel then you will need to get all of the excess soap off of the car. Start from the top and work your way down with the pressure washer. Stay about a foot and a half away from the car’s paint. When you do this make sure that you get every inch of the car to get every crack out of soap.
Drying Down and Put Supplies Away
Once you are done with the soap then you can dry off the car with your plush microfiber drying towel. Again, start at the top of the car and work your way down. You can put it flat onto the car and drag it across the paint to get every drop of water on it. After everything is dried off then you can get everything put away.
