How to Prevent Z Fighting in Tinkercad

Z fighting is when two surfaces overlap, and they cause some sort of glitchy effect as you move the camera. It happens because the computer doesn't know which surface to render. To fix this, try this solution.

Supplies

A Tinkercad account.

Find a Model

Find a model with two surfaces overlapping.

The images shown above are of the same model; just in different camera positions.

Unite the Shapes

Select the shapes, and union group them together. You will want to select the prioritized color first.

Multicolor

Select the color circle in the Inspector, and select Multicolor.

You should now have both colors in the union.

Mistakes

You should always remember to union group your shapes and select priorities first.

Let's say you make a sunset out of the shapes in the first image. Mistakes are shown in the second image.

The mistake at the bottom shows a bundle grouped shape, not a union grouped shape.
