How to Pot a Plant That Already Has Roots

So in this instructable I will be teaching you how to pot a plant that already has its roots, like a strawberry plant you just bought. I will be using basil that was bought from the grocery store and since it has roots I decided to plant it.

Supplies

all you will need is: a plant, some soil (enough to fill the pot) a pot and a spoon. (yes it's weird you will see why we need it later)

Step 1 Gather the Supplies and Make Sure You Have Enough Soil to Fill the Pot.

I am using a big pot that needs lots of soil so if you want to use a smaller pot and it will use up less dirt.

Step 2 Dig a Hole With Your Spoon.

This hole needs to be a tad bigger than the part of the plant you are going to put in the soil.

Step 3 Put Your Plant in the Hole You Dug in Step 2.

Carefully take your plant out of where ever it was in and place it in the hole.

Step 4 Fill the Rest of You Hole With Dirt

When you fill the rest of you hole with dirt take care not to pack your dirt too tight but at the same time your plant must stay upright in the dirt.

Step 5 Look at Your Plant

this step is one of the most important. Look at your plant and say wow!!! I did a good job! you did you did a good job planting a plant. thanks for reading!!!
