How to Pinterest; Christmas Card Holder
Use pallet wood or old fence panels to make a Christmas card holder.
Cut the Wood to Length
First cut a 1x2 or 2x2 to about 36 inches. Next cut three pieces of pallet wood or fence panels to different lengths, in this instructable they are 32, 24, 16 inches. The next cuts will be for the stand. The stand just needs to be four scrap pieces cut to the same length as in about 10-12 inches long and about an inch or so wide. All the cuts mentioned above can be cut using a miter (chop) saw or a circular saw. Next draw out a star on a piece of scrap wood and cut it out with either a band saw or a jig saw.
Assemble the Pieces
First lay out the pieces in which they will be assembled. Measure between the tree boards to get even spaces. Use a nail gun or screws to attach the boards to the 2x2. Then attach the stand pieces to bottom of the tree and attach the star to the top. After assembly you can paint it.
Wrap the Tree Boards With Ribbon
Select a ribbon, cut it to length, and wrap the tree boards with the ribbon to accept the cards. Hot glue or staple the ends of the ribbon to the back of the boards. This concludes the project. Enjoy!
