How to Paint the FLOWER OF LIFE on a Lazy Susan

portada-02.jpg

One of my passions in life has been painting and although I don't know how to draw faces or objects in general, I really like those images that include repetitive patterns or geometric figures.

I hope you enjoy this instructable as much as I enjoyed creating it.

Como pintar la flor de la vida

The video attached in this step is in Spanish, but if you don't understand the language don't worry, the most important thing is the images.

The first step is to separate the pieces (with the help of a screwdriver) and save the small pieces so that they do not get lost.

It is necessary to sand the pieces until you feel their texture is very smooth.

Paint the pieces white. (I decided to paint a second coat after the first one was dry)

Steps_Mesa de trabajo 1 copia 4.jpg

Paint the small piece black (all over)

Paint the bottom of the large piece black (leave the top white)

Steps_Mesa de trabajo 1 copia 5.jpg

Draw the outline of the large piece on a paper and cut it out

Fold the paper in half (as shown in the image) And make a hole in the center to use as a guide and to mark the center of the table.

Steps_Mesa de trabajo 1 copia 7.jpg

Mark the center of the table with the help of the paper.

Steps_Mesa de trabajo 1 copia 8.jpg

1. Measure from the center to the edge (In this case it was 15 cm) and divide that measurement by 7 and mark them on the table.

2. Draw 6 circles with the compass, using the center of the table as the center and the marked divisions as the size of the circles.

Paint each circle one color, starting with red in the center. (Red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, purple)

After it has dried, paint another coat of each color and this time with foams, lightly tap the paint to create gradations between the colors.

Use the paper again to mark the center of the table.

Steps_Mesa de trabajo 1 copia 12.jpg

Divide the diameter of the board by 3 and make a mark. (In this case it is 10cm)

Steps_Mesa de trabajo 1 copia 13.jpg

Using the compass with a permanent marker, draw a circle using the center of the table as the center and the mark made in the previous step as the size of the circle.

Keeping the compass size as the circle made earlier, start drawing more circles, always using the intersection points of the drawn lines as the center of the new circles.

To draw the last circles on the edges, you can draw the guide circle on a piece of paper, cut it out, and use it as a template.

Paint black as shown in the picture

After it is dry, add a coat of lacquer to protect it.

With the help of the screwdriver, rejoin the parts.

If desired, for a more beautiful finish, it can be covered with resin. For this, two equal parts of resin are combined and applied with a stick, taking care that there are no air bubbles.

Let dry and enjoy
