How to Paint a Brick

I had to paint bricks for another project I was completing. I thought it would be a great idea to capture the process as many people aren't aware how to paint bricks.

Supplies

Paint brushes, primer, paint, cardboard box, timer

Clean Surface

1)   Layout a clean surface to paint on (CAUTION: paint isn’t removeable to likeable materials of clothes, shoes, and furniture. Advise to use a clear surface one can get messy)

Organize

1)   Layout bricks and supplies to prepare to start painting. 

Primer

1)   Apply primer to bricks with painter brush (WARNING: If step is skipped, will result in paint not sticking to brick and sinking into brick)

Dry Time

1)   Allow primer to sit and dry on brick for at least 30minutes to 1 hour or. until no longer wet paint.

Paint

1)   Apply color of choice with paint brush to brick 

Dry Time

1)   Allow paint to dry for two to three hours 

Restart

If color isn’t desire, start back at step 5 until desire fullness of color is reac
