How to Paint Your Nails With Mooncat Lacquer Nail Polish

My favorite nail polish brand is Mooncat. There are so many beautiful colors from dual colored metallic colors to basic matte colors that you can use . The brand is a lacquer based nail polish so it can be a little tricky waiting for it to dry to finish the manicure without errors. This is a guide on how to apply Mooncat lacquer nail polish, from base to top coat. Let’s begin!

You will need:

Mooncat Nail Lacquer- Colors of Choice

Mooncat Hardcore Base Coat

Mooncat Getting Even Primer

Mooncat Speed Demon Top Coat

Nail Polish Remover

A Nail Brush

Cuticle Pusher (if you desire)

Nail File/ Buffer Block (if you desire)

Quick Dry Nail Drops

1. Remove your old nail polish and prep the surface of nails with nail polish remover.
2. Push back cuticles with the cuticle pusher.
3. File/buff your nails to the length and shape you wish to keep them.

1. Apply a thin coat of Mooncat Hardcore Base Coat to entire nail. Clean each nail with nail brush and nail polish remover on the edges as you go for a cleaner look Let dry to touch for 2 minutes.
2. Apply a thin layer of Mooncat Getting Even Nail Primer to entire nail. Let dry to touch for 2 minutes.
3. Pick out your Mooncat color at this time and shake it to mix color well before use.

1. Start with one hand for the entire application of color process before moving to next hand. This allows for less chance of error in application.
2. Apply a thin coat of Mooncat Nail Lacquer to center of nail up to 1/4 of nail on each side. Let dry to touch for 5 minutes.
3. Apply 2nd coat of color a little closer to the nail cuticle, you do not want to flood the edge. Let dry to touch for 5 minutes.
4. If color is desired to be more vibrant then add a 3rd thin coat of color over the entire colored area of nail. Let dry to touch for 5 minutes.
5. Apply a thicker Mooncat Speed Demon Top Coat to cover entire colored nail. Let dry for 5 minutes.
6. Apply 1-2 drops of Quick Dry to each nail from nail bed with the nails pointed down for the liquid to spread (it will look oily on your hands on application) and allow for another 5 minutes to dry entire hand. Pro tip: DO NOT wash your hands until both hands have 5 minutes after the Quick Dry drops to dry.
7. Repeat this process for your other hand.

1. Apply a moderately thick Mooncat Speed Demon Top Coat to cover entire colored nail. Do this for entire hand. Let dry to touch for 5 minutes.
2. Apply 1-2 drops of Quick Dry to each nail from nail bed with the nails pointed down for the liquid to spread (it will look oily on your hands on application) and allow for another 5 minutes to dry entire hand. Pro tip: DO NOT wash your hands until both hands have 5 minutes after the Quick Dry drops to dry.
3. Repeat this process for your other hand.
4. Wash both hands after 10 minutes of dry time to make sure your nails are totally dry.
5. Enjoy beautiful nails!
