How to Paint Doge
These are instructions for a painting of doge. Yep, it's that dead meme from ten years ago, but if you want to make a painting of doge you have come to the right place.
Supplies
you will need acrylic paints including
-Primary yellow
-white
-bright yellow
-Indian turquoise
-ebony black
-toffee brown
-light cinnamon (brown)
-bright blue
And also different size paint brushes
11x14 canvas
paint tray
cup of water
paper towel
and a pencil
Sketching the Picture
You use the pencil to sketch doge on the canvas so you can paint over it, use a reference image when you draw it if you'd like.
Mixing Paint
First mix the toffee brown and primary yellow to make a yellowish brown color. Then for the second color mix toffee brown and light yellow to make a color similar to the first but brighter. Mix black and white to make dark grey.
Painting the Darker Parts of Doge
Take a medium size paint brush and paint the upper part of the head with the darker brown and his little patch of fur on the bottom right and some of the legs.
Painting the Lighter Parts
Dip a medium paint brush into the lighter brown mixture and paint the stomach, lower head and inside of the ears. Then paint the legs and above the eyes.
Painting Black Parts
Dip smaller paint brush into black mixture and paint the eyes, nose, mouth and nails.
Painting the Background
This step can be optional but does make it look nicer. Pick a solid color and dip a medium to large paint brush into the color, paint around Doge and the entire background. I decided to paint the bottom darker and the top a lighter color. This is up to you.
Cleaning Up
This is very important, make sure to clean your paint brushes really good. Dip them in the water and swirl them around until the paint is off. Then dry them with paper towel carefully.
Final Product
If you followed the steps correctly then congratulations you are now the proud owner of a doge painting.
