Packing a suitcase may not be the easiest thing to do, but it should be done in an effective and neat manner so that you can pack more in fewer suitcases. Putting your items in certain areas of your suitcase will help you find your things a lot easier, and you do not need to feel stressed on vacation.

Supplies Needed

Supplies needed are clothes, shoes, hanging bag, toothbrush and tooth paste, makeup remover, baggies, leggings, jeans, a dress, swimming suit, a suitcase with wheels and a handle, socks, underwear, and a plastic bag.

Step 1

First, you want to pick the right suitcase that is comfortable for you. You would think you would want an easy light weight suitcase, but it would be a whole lot easier with a suitcase with wheels. Thinking about how big or small you want your luggage, depends on how long you plan to be gone. Maybe you would want a suitcase with a pocket on the front to put books and chargers into as well.

Step 2

Next, consider how many shoes you would need to pack. Consider that shoes are bulky and take up a lot of room. If you have room in your suitcase, put them in the shoe holder where they would be out of the way. Or if you do not have room, you can use recyclable plastic bags or a shower cap to keep them together.

Third, consider the fact that you might end up having to take several pieces of clothing such as t-shirts, shorts, leggings, jeans, dresses, swimming suits, etc. depending on the weather. For instance, rolling t-shirts tightly in a uniform shape until the item is compact. It keeps them together and organized and rolling your clothes smooths out the wrinkles.

Step 4

Another thing to remember to bring are your toiletries. The easiest item to hold your toiletries is a hanging bag. Place shampoo, conditioner, face wash, shaving cream, makeup remover, toothbrush, toothpaste, mouthwash and other liquid items in plastic bags since these items may leak and spill all over other items in your suitcase.

Step 5

Fifth, smaller items such as socks and underwear need to be packed as well. So, the easiest way to pack these in your suitcase is to put them between your other clothing such as shirts and pants. Place any odd-shaped and fragile items on top of your clothing such as sunglasses.

Lastly, make sure your luggage is secure and locked. Attaching a colorful sticker or name tag on your suitcase bag, will make it much easier for you to pick out your luggage. Put a tracking device on your suitcase so you can track it if it gets lost at the airport. Placing a lock on your suitcase is a good idea to keep zippers closed so you do not have anything falling out. Be sure you weigh your bag and make sure it is under a certain weight to avoid extra fees.
