How to Navigate With Keyboard Shortcut (Windows)
Keyboard Shortcuts are keys or key combinations that you can press on your computer's keyboard that allow you to perform a variety of tasks. Most times, shortcuts are much faster than using the mouse. Please use this guide to help you navigate with keyboard shortcuts.
Supplies
Windows Computer
Search Windows
- By selecting Windows Key + R, you will be able to quickly open the Windows Search Bar
Open File Explorer
- Selecting Windows Key + E will allow you to open your file explorer.
Split Screen ( Left & Right Side)
- Selecting Windows Key + Left Arrow will evenly split an active window to the left.
- Selecting Windows Key +Right Arrow will evenly split an active window to the right.
Switch Between Programs
- Selecting Alt + Tab allows you quickly switch between open programs and applications.
Windows Management
Create a Virtual Desktop
Virtual Desktops is the perfect tool for people who use multiple programs and applications simultaneously. This allows you to create multiple, separate desktops that you can work on. Great for keeping unrelated projects organized that are ongoing.
- Selecting Windows Key + Ctrl + D will allow you to create a new virtual desktop
- Selecting Windows Key + Ctrl + Left or Right arrow will allow you to switch between virtual desktops.
Task View
- Selecting Alt+ Windows allows you to see a birds-eye view of all your open windows, and virtual desktops. Also known as " Task View"
