How to Move Sound Bits Around in Audacity

th.jpg

audacity is an audio editing software that has been around for a

long time so i am going to teach you how somethings work in audacity.

like audio editing!!!

Step 1 Adding Audio to Your Editor

step1.jpg

i know this might sound a little dumb saying this but audio is important to use because you need something to work with. so if you have an audio file. click on the the file icon on the top left side of your page and click open which will send to your other files on your computer. then choose the file that you are looking for.

Step2 Playing Your Audio First

step2.jpg

playing audio gives you and idea what your listening to and what you want to edit out or move in.

click the play icon on top.

Step 3 Add Another Audio File

step3.jpg

you are probably asking why do i need another one audio and the only thing i can say is wait until the end of this step

now then do the same thing you did in step 1.

Step 4 Highlight Some Sound

step4.jpg

this is going to need a tool and that tool is called the selection tool which is in the second to top section on the page. what this does is highlights a certain section you pick and does any thing with it.

what i want you to do is highlight section of sound and copy it which is in the edit icon on top

Step 5 Pasting Audio to a Recent File

step5.jpg

once you copy a section of your audio what i want to do is. go back to your previous audio and paste it on the edit icon again. then your copied file is to the same track on the audio you wanted to move it to. well thats all so seeyou later and have a nice day.
