How to Make the Best Brownies Ever
Hey Foodies! Today I want to show you how to make the best brownies ever! I know it is a bold statement to call them the best ever but trust me when I say that these are the best. Maybe it is from all the butter and sugar that goes into them, honestly I was a bit hesitant at the amount but it makes the brownies that much better. Also I couldn't decided if I loved the edges or the center better. These brownies are so rich and sweet, there is a perfect balance of chocolate to sweetness. So if you want to learn to make your own Best Brownies Ever, then follow the step by step guide below or watch the video tutorial here:
Ingredients and Tools
Ingredients
- 1 cup unsalted butter (2 sticks)
- 1 ½ cups semi-sweet chocolate chips, or dark chocolate chips, divided
- 1 ½ cups granulated sugar
- ¾ cup brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 3 large eggs
- 1 ¼ cups all-purpose flour
- ⅓ cup dark cocoa powder
- Nonstick cooking spray (for greasing)
Tools
Preheat Oven and Make Double Boiler
Preheat the oven to 350˚F (180˚C).
Add the butter and 1 cup (175 g) of chocolate chips to a large heat safe glass bowl. Add the glass bowl to a saucepan that has about an inch of water (your basically making a double boiler).
Melt Chocolate and Butter
Heat "double boiler" on the stove on low heat until the chocolate and butter melt and everything is combined. You want to make sure you are stirring constantly.
Add Chocolate Mixture to Sugars
Add the granulated and brown sugars, vanilla, and salt to a large bowl. Add the chocolate and butter mixture onto of the sugar and fold in to combine everything.
Whisk in Eggs
Whisk in the eggs until fully combined.
Sift in Flour
Sift the flour and cocoa powder into the bowl and fold in with a spatula until your mixture is combined.
Add Chocolate Chips
Add the remaining chocolate chips and fold to incorporate.
Prepare Baking Pan
Line a 9-inch (23-cm) square baking pan with parchment paper and grease with nonstick spray.
Add Batter and Bake
Spread the batter evenly in the pan. Bake for 35-40 minutes, until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with a few moist crumbs attached.
Cool and Cut
Let cool completely before cutting. I cut the edges and ate those also.
Enjoy!
Enjoy the best brownies ever with a glass of milk!
