How to Make an Instructable

In learning how to make an Instructable, it seemed that it would be fitting if there were an Instructable on how to make an Instructable. Here goes nothing.
Step 1 - Getting Started

First, navigate to the Instructables homepage. Next, click on "Create."
Step 2 - Pick a Path

Instructables provides three options for your finished product: Photos, Step-by-Step and Video. Whichever you choose is great. This Instructable is walking you through the setup of a Step-by-Step Instructable.
Step 3 - Intro

Start out by choosing a title and writing a short introduction to your Instructable.
Step 4 - Uploading Images



Images are a great way to get across clear instruction in your Instructable. To get started, scroll down below the space to enter text and choose "SELECT FILES" (see image 1).
In the drop down dialog box, select the image(s) you'd like to add (image 2, arrow "a"), then click "Open" (image 2, arrow "b").
Finally, check that you have selected the right files (image 3, top arrow), then click "Upload Files" (image 3, bottom arrow).

Finally, check that you have selected the right files (image 3, top arrow), then click "Upload Files" (image 3, bottom arrow).
Step 5 - Adding Images to a Step

Once your images have uploaded, they will go into "your library" (arrow a). If they have not added automatically to the "Attached Images and Files" section, drag and drop the images from "your library" to that section (arrow b).
Step 6 - Adding More Steps

To add your following steps, click the "Add Step +" button towards the top of the page. Repeat the previous steps as necessary until you have completed the demonstration of your process.
Step 7 - Publishing and Sharing



When you have finished, and have double check your spelling and image placement, click the tab named "Publish."
Next, after selecting tags, categories and your type of license, scroll down to the bottom of the page and select the "Yes, publish my Instructable!" button.
Finally, click on the tab named "Share" and get the word out about your new Instructable.
