This infinity mirror table is a creative combination of modern design and optical illusion. It features a layered structure with a regular mirror at the base and a one-way mirror on top, producing a mesmerizing infinite light tunnel effect. The interior includes LED bulb series lights arranged in a staircase pattern with ropes and pipes, creating both infinity and depth illusions. Finished with elegant white and wooden laminates, the table serves as both a functional piece of furniture and a stunning decorative centerpiece.

Supplies

Materials Used in the Infinity Mirror Table Project

Wood - Playwood and flexi playwood.

Brick Texture Wallpaper – gives the inner wall a realistic, tunnel-like appearance.

Regular Mirror (Bottom) – placed at the base to reflect light and objects above.

One-Way Mirror (Top Glass) – creates the infinity illusion when paired with the bottom mirror.

PVC Pipes (Small Sections) – used to make the mini staircase frame.

C-Shaped Metal Rod – added on one side for a climbing effect.

Ropes – used as steps for the staircase structure.

LED Bulbs and Holders: Installed to create the glowing infinity bulb series effect..

Power Supply Box (DIY Control Unit) – includes:

  1. Battery
  2. DC Charging Port
  3. Push Button Switch
  4. Toggle Switch

White Laminate Sheet – applied on the upper and edge surfaces for a clean, modern look.

Wooden Laminate Sheet – added around the sides for a stylish finish and contrast.

Adhesive & Screws – used to assemble and secure all parts.

Prepare Main Plywood - Measure, Cut, and Round Panels

measure and mark the shape of your table onto the plywood. Use a measuring tape and a straight edge to ensure precise dimensions for your rectangle. Cut the material into square shape for base mirror support. Use a router, as shown, to carefully round the corners of the panels for a smooth, finished, and modern look. This cordless router makes the job quick and gives a professional, consistent curve on all four corners.

Assemble the Inner Frame Box

vlcsnap-2025-10-14-09h37m34s553.png

First, cut the side walls of the frame to match the final depth of your table, ensuring they are sized to fit the perimeter of your base panel. You will need two long sides and two short sides.

Next, apply a generous amount of wood glue along the edges where the side walls meet the base panel. Place the side walls onto the base and secure them with screws using a drill, driving them through the base into the wall pieces.

Finally, attach the remaining two side walls to complete the rectangular box structure, making sure the entire inner frame is square and tightly secured. This box is what creates the depth for the infinity mirror effect.

Curve the Frame Ends

vlcsnap-2025-10-14-09h50m53s174.png

First, measure and cut four identical wooden pieces that will form the curved ends of your table.

Next, clamp these curved pieces firmly to the short ends of your rectangular frame. Use a generous amount of wood glue and clamps to ensure a secure bond while the glue dries.

Finally, further secure the curved pieces by nailing them into the frame using small nails or brads. Once fully assembled, the box will have a perfectly rounded rectangular shape, ready for the next layer of detail.

Attach the Top White Trim

First, cut the flexible wood sheets to match the exterior dimensions of your table sides. Apply contact cement or a strong adhesive to both the wood sheet and the table frame, then carefully press the wood onto the frame.

Next, repeat the process with your white laminate. Cut the laminate to size and bond it securely to the flexible wood underlayer using adhesive. This two-step process ensures a smooth, stable surface over the rounded corners.

Finally, once the adhesive is cured, trim any excess laminate from the edges and corners using a sharp utility knife or a router with a flush trim bit for a clean, professional finish.

Apply the Slatted Wood Cladding

vlcsnap-2025-10-14-09h54m25s095.png

First, prepare the slatted material. This is a flexible sheet of decorative laminate or wood veneer pre-cut into strips. It needs to be flexible enough to bend smoothly around the rounded corners of the table box. You can see the material being prepared with a router.

Next, apply adhesive generously and evenly to the entire exterior surface below the white trim.

Then, carefully lay the slatted cladding onto the frame, starting on one side. Press it firmly into place, ensuring the strips are vertical and that the sheet smoothly follows the curves of the corners. Use masking tape to temporarily hold the cladding in place on the curved sections until the glue is set.

Finally, allow the adhesive to cure completely before removing the tape. Your table box is now fully finished on the exterior.

Make Inner Small Box and Stick Bricks Wallpaper

This step involves constructing a secondary, slightly smaller box that will fit inside your main table frame and serve as the display area for the infinity effect. This inner box will also be where the decorative elements are attached.

  1. Construct the Inner Box: Cut plywood or MDF pieces to form a box that is slightly smaller than the interior dimensions of your main table frame. This box should have the same rounded corners as your main frame. Glue and secure these pieces together firmly.
  2. Apply Brick Wallpaper: Carefully measure and cut the brick-patterned vinyl wallpaper to line the inside walls of this newly constructed inner box. Apply it smoothly, ensuring the pattern is continuous and free of bubbles, as this will be the infinitely reflected background.

Assembling the Light Setup for the Infinity Mirror Well

Apply glue to the T-connector and fix the RO pipe firmly. Then attach the bulb holder to the connector and secure it tightly. Give black color to give a clean look. Finally, mount the light setup on the wall structure to create the glowing “well” effect for the infinity mirror table.

Making a Mini PVC and Rope Staircase for Infinity Mirror Well Effect

vlcsnap-2025-10-14-11h30m42s103.png

Cut and glue small PVC pieces onto longer PVC pipes to form the stair supports, then paint them for a clean finish.

Drill holes in the vertical pipes and thread short rope sections through, securing them with screws and nuts to create the stair steps.

Mount the assembled PVC-and-rope staircase inside the infinity mirror table frame.

This setup gives a “stairway into the well” illusion when the mirror lights are turned on.

Adding LED Tube and Climbing Rod

A flexible LED light strip is wrapped around a cylindrical tube to create a bright and even lighting element. This LED tube will be placed inside the setup to enhance the visual effect and provide illumination. The wrapped LED ensures consistent brightness and adds a decorative touch to the project. dditionally, a C-shaped metal rod is installed on the side to provide a climbing or support effect.

Installing Mirrors and Setting Up the Infinity Effect

vlcsnap-2025-10-14-11h31m35s453.png

In this step, a regular mirror is first placed at the bottom to create the reflective base. Next, the well effect setup with lights, rods, and decorations is positioned above it. Finally, a one-way mirror is carefully installed on top, completing the setup. Together, these layers create the stunning infinity mirror effect, giving the illusion of endless depth and glowing light.

Installing the Power Control Box

vlcsnap-2025-10-14-11h32m04s381.png

Next, prepare the power control box by securely connecting the switch, button, and power socket inside the cardboard casing. Attach all wires properly to ensure a stable connection to the LED setup. Once assembled, mount the control box under the table structure to easily operate the infinity mirror electrical components.

Enjoy the Final Product - the Infinity Mirror Table
