How to Make an Eggcellent Omelette
Today I will be teaching you how to make a fun, easy, delicious omelette!
Get Your Materials
You’re going to need an 8 inch pan, a large spatula, 2 eggs, 2 tablespoons of milk, 2 tablespoons of butter, salt and pepper(optional) and whatever you’re using for your filling. I will be using onions, bell peppers, and cheese.
Start to Cook Your Filling
Start off by cooking your onions and bell peppers. Just put a touch of olive oil and set the stove to a medium heat, stirring them every once and awhile. Do this for about 3-5 minutes.
Prepare Your Eggs
While your filling is cooking crack the eggs into a glass bowl and mix until they’re a pale yellow.

Finish Your Filling
Take the vegetables off of the stove and put them into a small bowl and save them for later.

Preparing the Pan
Keeping the stove on a medium heat put the 2 tablespoons of butter on the pan. Make sure you’re listening for when it starts sizzling so you know to put the eggs on. Remember you do not want to burn the butter.

Fluffing the Eggs
In the glass bowl with the eggs add the 2 tablespoons of whole milk and whisk aggressively for a solid minute or 2. You want to work up a sweat. This step is important to make sure you have nice fluffy eggs.
Starting to Cook Your Eggs
Once your butter starts to sizzle pour in your eggs. It will look like it is floating in butter and that is perfectly okay.
Cooking the Eggs
Once the bottom has cooked hold a side down with a spatula so that the whole thing does not move and tilt the pan so that the uncooked egg on the top will run off under the cooked egg. Repeat this step until you can tilt it and no uncooked egg comes off.
Egg Pancake
You should now have something resembling an egg pancake. Use your big spatula to get under it and flip it all the way over so the top may cook. After you flip you may add you may add your fillings but only on half of the egg pancake.
Finishing the Omelette
Fold the other half of the egg pancake over to cover the filling so that it actually looks an omelette. Now completely flip it over so the other side can cook a little bit more.
You're Done!
You’ve made omelette! I’m proud of you! Now get out a plate and top that bad boy off with a little cheese, any left over filling, and some salsa and you’ve got yourself and a+ breakfast for any day! I hope you enjoy!
