How to Make an Amazing Box Yellow Cake
Friends are playing basketball and planning to come over in 45 minutes for something sweet to eat. What’s something quick and easy to make yet has raving reviews from others? A standard go-to is a Betty Crocker Supermoist yellow cake mix which receives amazing comments. It’s easy, sweet, and will be ready to eat within 45 minutes of their arrival.
The first step is to take out the ingredients needed which includes a Betty Crocker yellow cake mix, 3 eggs, cooking spray, vegetable oil, cool water, a 9 x 13 inch Pyrex baking dish, a large mixing bowl, forks, a large spoon, a 1 cup and ½ cup measuring cups, scissors, two potholders, a butter knife, serving spatula, and individual serving plates.
Setting Oven Temperature to 350 Degrees.
Set the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Push the Bake button on the oven and then push the numbers 3, 5, and 0, and then start. The oven will begin to warm up and will beep when it is at the desired temperature.
Spray the Pan
Take the 9 inch by 13 inch glass Pyrex dish and the cooking oil spray, take off the cooking spray lid and gently push the nozzle, directing it at the inside part of the Pyrex dish covering all inside sides and bottom.
Putting the Cake Mix Into the Bowl.
Open the cake mix box and take the package of cake mix out of the box. The package will need to be cut on the top of the bag as it stands upright. Once the bag is open, dump the cake mix into the mixing bowl.
Put 3 Eggs Into Mixture
Crack each egg (3 total) and place the egg portion, without the shell, into the mixing bowl with the cake mix.
Add Water to Mixture
Measure 1 cup of the cool water coming from the faucet using the 1 cup measuring cup provided. This water will then be placed into the mixing bowl with the cake mix and eggs.
Add Oil to Mixture.
Open the vegetable oil container and pour ½ cup into the ½ cup measuring cup which will then be placed into the mixing bowl with the cake mix, water, and eggs.
Mix Ingredients Together.
Find a large spoon and stir the ingredients in the mixing bowl together for at least 2 minutes or the mixture does not have any clumps remaining in it.
Dump Mixture Into Baking Pan.
The clump-free mixture will need to be placed into the 9 x 13 pan by dumping the mixture from the mixing bowl into the 9 x 13 pan. This can be accomplished by pouring the mixture and then using the spoon to scrape what is remaining in the mixing bowl into the 9 x 13 pan.
Put Cake Into Pre-heated Oven.
Set the 9 x 13 pan into the pre-heated oven by opening the oven door, placing the pan on the oven rack inside of the oven, and then shutting the oven door.
Get Timer Set
Push the Timer button, the numbers 3 and 0, and then start. This will begin the timer which will beep when the cake is done.
Getting Cake Out of Oven
When the beeping sound starts, open the drawer where the potholders are located and take out two to protect one's hands from the hot pan, push the timer off button, open the oven door carefully, put the potholders onto the hands, and carefully take the 9 x 13 pan out of the oven and place on a surface that can withstand extreme heat. Finally, shut the oven door and push the Off button on the oven board.
Cutting and Serving Cake to Friends
After 10 minutes, take the breadknife and cut the cake into certain sizes of liking. Then, take the serving spatula and remove each piece of cake and place each piece on a small individual plate. The Betty Crocker Supermoist yellow cake has once again saved the day for friends who are hungry, wanting something good to eat.
