For this project you will need a hot glue gun, paint (optional), cardboard, scissors or box cutter, a sharpie, paint brushes, an empty bottle of water, and a straw.

Making the Stand

Using your cardboard cut out one square with a semi circle on top (the square part is L=3 in W=8 cm), three rectangles (L=2 1/2 in W=2 in), and one square (L=2 1/2 in W=2 1/2 in).

Gluing the Pieces

Place the square with the semi sphere on the table. On the top hot glue the rectangles with about one inch in between. As best as you can center the square on top and apply glue.

Preparing the Water Tank

Take the plastic bottle and cut a hole near the bottom. Take your straw and cut it to about 8 cm on the bendy side. Hot glue the straw bendy side out to the inside of the hole in your bottle.

This step is pretty self explanatory because all you do is hot glue the bottom of the bottle to the top of the square on the base.

Making a Border

Make a Square that's a couple inches longer and wider than the stand. Measure each side of the square and mark on cardboard the width, and then a make your length a little less than a foot long. On the side with the straw cut out a hole so the straw can pass through. Finally hot glue the base to the top of the square, and hot glue each piece to its matching side.

Customizing

You can paint the border, duct tape it, add stickers, leave it blank it really doesn't matter as long as it's what you want.

I hope you enjoyed this tutorial and have a great day!
