Hello guys!

In this instructable I will show you how you can make a simple wooden toy airplane! It's really easy to make!

Let's go!

Cutting the Parts

To start transfer the pattern of the airplane onto 22mm thick wood. And cut it out on the bandsaw or on the scroll saw. Cut the nose of the airplane a little bit sharper to give it some dimension.

And sand it all smooth with the belt sander.

For the wings of the airplane we'll need 12mm thick wood. Stick two blanks together with double-sided tape, to cut them both at ones. Cut out the small and large wings on the bandsaw or scroll saw. Sand them smooth on the belt sander, just like you did with the body of the airplane.

Assembly

Mark 3 holes for joining the wings with 5mm dowels. Drill the 3 holes all the way through with a 5mm drill bit.

Mark the holes onto the wings with a dowel centre point. And drill them with the 5mm drill bit.

Assembly time! You can use superglue to clamp it quickly and woodglue for the strength.

Finish with some mineral oil and you are ready to fly!
