How to Make a Tiered Tea Stand

Making a tiered tea stand is a fun and enjoyable project that you can do. These tea stands can make great gifts for people or can be used in your home. Know lets start!

You will need:

Cake stand fitting hardware

You can get as many as you like. They also come in a verity of colors so you can pick which ones you want.

Ceramic safe drill bit

You will only need 1 of these but it is good to have a backup if anything happens to one of them.

Ear plugs/ Ear muffs

You will need either ear plugs or earmuffs I have found out that ear plugs are less pricey.

Power drill

You may already have a power drill at home already but if you don't amazon has plenty of options.

Protective eye ware

You will most definitely need something to protect your eyes to do this project!

Spray bottle

You don't need something fancy just a regular cheap spray bottle will do the trick and you might already have one at home.

(Old)Tea set

You might already have a old tea set that has chips or is incomplete that you can use but if you don't then you can go to antique shop or a goodwill and you could probably get a old tea set (it does not matter if it is a incomplete tea set all you need is at least 1 tea cup, 1 saucer, and 1 small plate)

Note: I like to lay out all of my supplies before i start to do anything more so i can get easy access to everything.

Grab your tea cups, saucers, and small plates and find the center of them (you can maker the center with some tape if you like). Then put your ceramic safe drill bit into your power drill grab and put on your protective eye ware and ear plugs (or ear muffs) then drill through the center of all your tea cups, saucers, and small plates.

Note: After you drill through everything I like to wash everything off then lay them all out again.

Now you are first going to take your small plate and lay the washer on top of the hole in the plate. Next you are going to put the screw through the hole of the washer and plate, then you are going to take one of the 5 foam washers and put it down on top of the screw. Now take one of your cake stand fitting hardware pieces (the one with a flat bottom with a hole in it and with the screw top) and put the bottom hole face down on the screw. Then twist the piece until the it is secured in place with the screw. Now do that for all the pieces going in this order: foam washer, cake fitting hardware piece, foam washer, saucer then continue for all of your pieces.

Once you finish a project always clean up afterwards .
